What is a Third Space Place?
Traditionally, Third Space places were recognized as public social places to relax, meet new people and have fun outside of one’s home (First Space) or one’s place of work (Second Space). Since the pandemic, there has been a declining amount of Second Space physical office locations and an increase in displaced remote and hybrid workers who are still looking for a physical place(s) to network and socialize. Because of this, Third Space places have begun to offer Second Space professional amenities and have become an exciting blend of working, socializing and everything in between. We call this reimagined sense of place, The Fourth Space.
What are examples of Fourth Spaces?
The Fourth Space is a blend of Second Space places (productive and community zones) and Third Space places (social hubs). These are multifaceted places which nurture the individual's physical, mental health and overall wellbeing; centered around in-person communication, face-to-face interactions, and a strong sense of community. Examples of Arrived Fourth Space Places are restaurants, bars, coffee shops, hotel lounge/lobbies, airport lounges, and social clubs. Arrived’s ‘Read the Room Technology’, (RTR) provides professionals with the tools to effectively navigate the Fourth Space for more efficient and meaningful networking and socializing.
How is Arrived different from other social networks?
The cornerstone of Arrived is its patent-pending ‘Read the Room Technology’(RTR). Unlike any other networking technology, RTR verifies precise user Fourth space locations, only connecting you to those who are physically present in the same place. RTR Technology allows you to see other professionals physically present in the same room while providing you with a baseline of key professional details— supplying you with all the tools to make a successful in-person approach.
I don’t want to be seen at a particular place, how do I use Arrived in that instance?
Arrived takes privacy seriously and for that reason, you will never automatically appear at a Fourth Space place. In order to use Arrived, you must first designate a specific Fourth space venue in which you are choosing to be visible at and subsequently confirm that you are physically heading to that specific location. Additionally, you can change your visibility settings at any time should you wish to inhabit a room anonymously.
Will I meet people/network in person?
Yes, with RTR Technology, members can view who is physically present in the room, who is open to being approached, and other member’s interaction preferences when starting an in-person conversation. Once you have read the room and chosen who you wish to begin to network with, Arrived will make a personal introduction on your behalf to jump start an in-person interaction. Additionally, you may choose to enhance the interaction with a gesture of hospitality by buying your connection a venue-specific item (i.e. drink or snack). Professional in-person interactions have never been easier or more seamless.
